Burbach Lodge Social Events
In addition to its formal operation, the Lodge holds many social functions which are greatly enjoyed by
not only the members, but also their families and friends. Central to the social side of every Masonic
Lodge is the “Ladies Night”. This generally takes the form of a formal social evening dinner and dance
with the Ladies, and in particular, the Lady of the Master of the Lodge being the guest of the evening.
Burbach Lodge, in common with a number of other Lodges has frequently combined this splendid
occasion with a weekend away at a hotel. In recent years this has included destinations such as
Bournemouth, Torquay, Chepstow, Winchester and Buxton.

Our programme of social events for the current year are as follows:

Lodge Ladies Night

Sketchley Grange Hotel
Burbach Lodge Hog Roast July 2009
Around 115 members, family and friends experienced a very
enjoyable time at our summer event, the hog-roast held this year at
, by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Bill Wooliscroft to whom we express
our thanks.
Although we did experience a couple of showers during the day, the
charitable hearts of those attending were not at all dampened and a
sum in excess of £1500 was raised during the event to the benefit
of the Master’s Charities.
