On October 25th W.M. Chris Brown assisted by Lodge Secretary Stewart Dent
played the final of the 2009 Provincial wide knock-out golf competition.Their
opponents W. Bro Jim Parker & Bro Keith Helstrip provided stern opposition in
a tight match watched by one spectator, for ten holes. The blustery conditions
proved testing for both teams but the dynamic leadership of the Burbach W.M.
ensured victory by the narrowest of margins, one hole. The fine trophy was
presented to the winners by Leicestershire & Rutland Masonic Golfing
Association President, W.Bro. Peter Montgomery-Stuart, who took
photographs for insertion in the next edition of Leicester Square.
